How To Make Your Home More Instagramable

To selfie or not to selfie. That is the question. Because there’s nothing worse than finding the perfect lighting, but being too shy to take a photo in public. Sounds like it’s time to create your own Insta-worthy corner at home. Here are a few of our favorite tips and tricks.

Natural Light
Open up the windows, and let in all of the natural light you can get. Pro-tip: neutral curtains allow a bit of natural light without letting your neighbors peek inside.

Throw Pillows
Adding some throw pillows to your home is a great way to switch things up without breaking the budget. Pillows are also a great way to add variety to your photos and fill up empty space.

Focal Point
An empty corner could be your next photo booth. Something as simple as a stack of books can provide some interesting context to your photos.

Get More Oxygen
Plants! Not only will they freshen up your home (literally,) they’ll add some much needed color. If you don’t have much of a green thumb, just know your followers won’t be able to know the difference between a faux plant and a real one.

Colorful Accents
Speaking of color, think of your home like your dinner plate. You don’t want it to start looking too beige. Make sure you add some color to provide some additional interest.

Details
It’s all in the details. Adding simple items like coffee cups, magazines, or your favorite shoes is a great way to accessorize and style your room for Instagramable moments without breaking the bank.
